Bucs Trade McLouth To Atlanta

Holy Cow!

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette is reporting that the the Pirates have traded  star center fielder Nate McLouth

imgres.jpg to the Atlanta Braves for three prospects, Jeff Locke, Charlie Morton, and Gorkys Hernandez.  Excellent fix to Atlanta’s outfield problems, and a good return for the Pirates.

    What do you mean poor defense — he’s a gold glove winner! It’s just another stab in the heart to the fans that have stuck by this club listening to empty promises. What we need to do is quit buying tickets, quit selling-out games despite the crap they pull year after year.

      You’re absolutely right about the whole youth movement junk. As for the gold glove, McLouth was ranked one of the worst center fielders in baseball by all defensive metrics. He won the gold glove because of his offense.
